I love being creative!

I’m passionate about expressing myself through the performing arts.

I’ve made sections on my website for pictures of my Stage, Dance, and Gymnastics work over the years. Even before I went to school I really loved being able to perform, and was on stage as a chicken in ‘Wizard of Oz’ when I was only three. The young woman playing ‘Dorothy’ was an amazing influence, and she trained to be a dance instructor and has been my instructor all those years. She’s Miss Natasha. I really enjoy expressing myself in drama or gymnastics or visual art and design.

I’ve had many brilliant teachers and entered competitions, passed some exams in dance and gymnastics, and want the performing arts to be my life and career. Some people have said kind things:

(My Singing Teacher)

Current grade or equivalent level:

Star 4

Most notable achievements this year:

I think Jemima has made incredible progress over the few months I have known her. She now sings confidently in our warm up and will sing along with the piano and the tracks when I play, sometimes without me supporting her at all! This is a massive improvement following our first few lessons where she would ask me to sing with her each time.

Current areas of focus:

I'm working on building up knowledge around scales and arpeggios, building in new warm up routines so that they don't feel so alien to Jemima whilst continuing to work on the performance pieces, which I hope Jemima will be able to sing at a performance grade for RSL.

Focus for the coming year

We're working towards a performance (singing only) Grade 1 with RSL

(West of England Music)

(My Drama Teacher at St Gregory’s)

To whom it may concern,

I have the privilege of seeing Jemima blossom in performing arts during her time at St Gregory's. Jemima loves to perform and has fully immersed herself in all our whole school productions. With the support of an LSA she has participated in the chorus; singing, dancing, and acting for shows such as Mary Poppins, Oliver, Beauty and the Beast. Jemima has peripatetic lessons and enjoys practicing her singing for shows. Jemima loves to sing and you can see that it brings her joy.

The Head of Dance at St Gregory’s has said that In her dance lessons, Jemima is always engaged, excited and is moved by the music.
